PRICE PODIUMS IN STADIUM SUPER TRUCKS
Toby Price has claimed 2nd in Race 2 of the Stadium Super Trucks and narrowly missed a Round Overall podium at the Clipsal 500 over the weekend.
After several days in search of a Doctors clearance to deem Price fit to compete in Stadium Super Trucks, the Dakar Champion has returned to competitive racing just 9 weeks after suffering a broken femur in 4 places.
Race 1 – Position 4
Price began the weekend with two Practice and Qualifying combined sessions where he finished 3rd and 4th.
The reverse grid in Race 1 meant Price started at the back of the field of 12 Super Trucks, and had 8 laps on the Adelaide track to get to the front of the field.
Price ran just short of a podium and finished the Race in 4th.
Race 2 – Position 2
Race 2 saw Price start in 4th at the front of the field, where he had to hold off several of the experienced American drivers.
Price had an extremely tight battle with Sheldon Creed where he led for the majority, but was overtaken by the American Champion and finished 2nd.
Race 3 – Position 10
Price’s final race and reverse grid saw him start at the back of the field, with a red flag reducing race time.
Several clashes with fellow competitors saw Price remain at the back of the Grid of 12 and finish P10.
