PRICE RETURNS FROM INJURY FOR STADIUM SUPER TRUCKS
Toby Price has announced his return from his recent Dakar Rally injuries to compete in the Stadium SUPER Trucks at the Clipsal 500 this coming weekend.
The Supercars Championship Series Opener will serve as the first of five rounds that will feature the Stadium SUPER Trucks races.
Recently recovering from his femur that was broken in four places, Price was unfortunately not prepared to race in the Super Enduro-X but is feeling prepared for the Stadium SUPER Trucks.
“AFTER THE DAKAR RALLY CRASH ALL MY PROGRESS WITH MY LEG AND STRENGTH HAS BEEN GOING REALLY WELL SO I’M FEELING GOOD AND WE ARE PUMPED TO BE BACK HERE AT THE CLIPSAL 500 IN ADELAIDE TO CONTEST THE STADIUM SUPER TRUCKS SERIES.”
Price has the biggest of thanks for Major Sponsor McDonalds Australia and additional sponsors Preston Hire, Mitsubishi Motors and KTM for all their support.
“BIG THANKS TO MCDONALDS, PRESTON HIRE, MITSUBISHI MOTORS, KTM AND THE CLIPSAL 500, IT’S GREAT TO HAVE THESE GUYS ON BOARD AND HELP MAKE SURE EVERYTHING GOES TO PLAN.”
Price is adamant his injuries will not affect his racing over the weekend, and is aiming to remain at the front of the pack and put on a show for the fans.
“MY EXPECTATIONS ARE PRETTY HIGH AS ALWAYS, SO WE REALLY WANT TO BE UP THE FRONT AND PUT ON A SHOW. THE PRESS DAY WENT REALLY WELL, I WAS IN THE TRUCK DOING SOME JUMPS AND THE LEG FELT FINE AND I WAS COMFORTABLE SO WE ARE NOT GOING TO HAVE ANY ISSUES THERE AND I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE WEEKEND AND GETTING RIGHT INTO IT.”
Price will race in Round 1 of the Stadium SUPER Trucks season at the Clipsal 500, Adelaide from March 2-5.
